The long-running Texas Music Cafe has a new home at Nexus Esports in downtown Waco and has launched a series of Saturday night concerts. This weekend brings The Atkins Tent Revival, whose eclectic mix of genres has been described as Americana music with a little bit of soul. Plus, the first round of Jonna Mae’s Kitchen, a multiweek songwriter competition, opens the show.

Martin Luther King Jr. Day is Monday, and while the national holiday celebrates King’s legacy, it also promotes community involvement and activism. Mission Waco hosts its annual MLK Day of Service at the Jubilee Theatre with speakers and discussions before moving on to different community service projects.
Finally, if you’re a fan of Texas college football, former University of Texas quarterback Vince Young, who led the school to a national championship in the 2006 Rose Bowl, is making an appearance at Crunch Fitness on Tuesday. Open to the public, Young will be available for photos and to sign autographs.
