TWI Weekly Newsletter #8
Championship parade, Disney scavenger hunt, and Saturday morning kids club
Everyone loves a parade, right? Make sure to check out Tuesday night’s parade through downtown Waco to honor the Baylor University men’s basketball team that won its first NCAA championship on Monday night.
In addition to the flourishing local music scene, other activities this weekend include Saturday’s Disney-themed scavenger hunt at Cameron Park Zoo. Even better, you can win art created by the zoo’s animals. Or, let your kids make their own art at the Saturday morning kids club at Kieran-Sistrunk Fine Art Gallery.
In our weekly recommended reads and podcasts, get a breakdown of Baylor’s decisive victory against Gonzaga. JaJa Chen discusses ways to live a sustainable, minimalist lifestyle, and David Smith explains the very real differences between country AND western music.
