Waco is bustling this weekend, and Saturday, in particular, provides a wide range of activities. In the morning, play Waco History’s Waco Founding: Your Hunt, Your History, a family-friendly scavenger hunt, that takes teams around the city to learn about Waco’s early years. Plus, you can win prizes from local businesses for most points, most creative answers, and most historical insights.
On Saturday afternoon, The Goon Squad, Waco’s underground art collective, unveils The Seven Deadly Sins art show at One Day Waco that features work by Russell Campbell, Sean Skellington, and others. And to close out the day, Keep Waco Loud presents the End of Summer Night Jam with Zombie Western, Spacecops, and Trace of Lime at Brotherwell Brewing.

“Waco history, growth illustrated with maps in new exhibit”
The Historic Waco Foundation’s new exhibit at the East Terrace Museum is “Expansion: A Study of Growth in Texas and Waco from 1840-1920.” This collection of maps — including multiple bird’s eye view maps — takes visitors back to 19th and early 20th century Waco to show how the city developed over time.
