GoodFellas 7th Annual Crawfish Boil, 2024 Sunflower Festival, and Nacho Daddy Bike & Car Show
The GoodFellas 7th Annual Crawfish Boil returns to Lakeside Bar on Saturday afternoon to raise funds to help families in need during the holiday season. (As the group says in its mission statement, it’s all about giving kids a reason to believe!) Hear music from Sloppy Joe Band, Brit Kerr, and Larissa Boyd while you chow down on crawfish, shrimp, and sausage wraps. And there’ll be plenty of cold drinks, raffles, and auctions too.

The spring rains have been—and still are!—something else, but that hasn’t stopped Western Belle Farm’s 2024 Sunflower Festival, which kicks off on Saturday and runs until June 9 every Friday through Sunday. Check out the flower fields and other attractions including (but most definitely not limited to):
Duck races
Barn slides
Pony hop races
Beeline mini ziplines
Cattle drive barrel train rides
Plus, this Saturday you can hear Markus Miller perform from noon to 3 pm while Jennifer Pisarcik and Jon Fox perform at the same time on Sunday.
The Greater Hewitt Chamber of Commerce’s Nacho Daddy Bike and Car Show is back at Warren Park on Saturday from 11 am to 3 pm. See some of the sweetest rides in Texas (and beyond!) while hearing live music, getting good eats at the food trucks, and enjoying plenty of other family fun activities. A portion of the proceeds will benefit Hunger Free MISD, which sends backpacks full of nutritious food home with food-insecure Midway students over weekends and holiday breaks.
Admission is free, but parking is $5. (And again, if you can’t make it on Saturday, you can always donate online to Hunger Free MISD.)
