Trial by Jury, Edible Book Festival, and Levitt AMP Waco Music Series: RAVS & The Akrylx with Side Quest
Trial by Jury is a gloriously absurd one-act opera where the law is ridiculous, the love is petty, and the whole courtroom might as well be drunk on melodrama. McLennan Community College’s Ball Performing Arts Center presents this chaos Thursday through Saturday, and the cast is ready to throw decorum out the window in favor of wit sharp enough to slice through powdered wigs. Anyone with a pulse and a taste for satire should be in the room when the gavel drops and the nonsense begins.

The clock’s ticking! Get your edible recreation of a literary classic—with a dash of sugar and satire—to the East Waco Library by 5:45 pm on Monday, or prepare to spend the rest of the week haunted by what could’ve been.
Then, on Tuesday, April 1, the Edible Book Festival opens to the public with jaw-dropping cakes, absurd puns, and plotlines baked into pastries. After all, where else can you see The Crepes of Wrath and War and Peas battle it out for the top prize?
The Levitt AMP Waco Music Series kicks off its 2025 season this Wednesday night at Bridge Street Plaza in East Waco, delivering an electrifying fusion of sound and community spirit. RAVS & The Akrylx and Side Quest will ignite the stage with dynamic performances, setting the tone for a concert series that promises to be anything but predictable.
Taking place in conjunction with the Waco Downtown Farmers Market's Wednesday Night Market, this free event offers a feast for the senses—live music, local vendors, and a vibrant atmosphere that’ll transform an ordinary evening into an unforgettable experience.
