Food Truck Fridays, Heart of Texas Water Garden & Pond Society Tour, and Star Wars Live!
Food Truck Fridays kick off this week at the Carleen Bright Arboretum, and it’s the best excuse you’ll get to wander among the oaks, sip a hot coffee, and spy a heron or two without ever leaving Woodway.
Launch Pad Coffee pulls in early with espresso from 8 am to 10 am, and Teresita’s Birria serves up slow-cooked glory from 11 am to 2 pm. It’s a picnic-meets-nature-walk kind of vibe—your slow roll into another Texas summer.
From the minds behind the sold-out Dungeons & Dragons LIVE shows, Star Wars Live! blasts into hyperspace on Friday night at The Performing Arts Community Center.
Expect cosplay mayhem, audience-driven chaos, and a brand-new sci-fi saga conjured on the spot as this off-the-rails adventure mashes up comedy and surprise plot twists in a galaxy (improvised) far, far away.
Once a year, the Heart of Texas Water Garden and Pond Society throws open the gates to some of the most unexpectedly enchanting backyards in Central Texas—think koi ponds, waterfalls, lily-covered pools, and handmade streams winding through real people's lawns. It’s part garden tour, part art installation, part meditative escape, all fueled by folks who genuinely love making water move.
This year’s tour is again free, but donations go to support the Waco Wetlands Education Center—so bring the family, a few bucks, and lose yourself in a world where the grass is greener and the fish have names.
