Baylor professor Beth Allison Barr is back at Fabled Bookshop & Cafe on Tuesday night to launch her latest book, Becoming the Pastor’s Wife, and explore the history of how women in the church went from leaders to supporting acts. With a mix of personal experience and academic firepower, she unpacks how the rise of the pastor’s wife role came at the cost of female ordination, reshaping church leadership for centuries.
